EMDR Therapy in Colorado Springs, CO

Feel Connected and Present Again

Tension. Panic. Constant Unease.

Feeling consumed or distracted by events replaying in your mind?

Feeling disconnected or “zoned out”?

You notice that your internal mind record is looping messages about yourself and the world around you; negatively impacting your relationships, focus, and desire to engage in your interests.

You might often think, “I am not good enough” or “this is my fault”.

You are feeling curious about what would feel different if you processed those memories.

You notice wishing something would just shift already…

Holding these experiences unprocessed can leave you feeling overwhelmed and hopeless.

If you don’t try processing the events, or those memories, you may continue to live in this space of overwhelm, feeling disconnected and lost.

It is possible that things can change. Your brain and body are built innately to heal, survive, and thrive!

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR, Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy is a well-researched approach that has proven to help people recover from distressing and traumatic events in life including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic.

EMDR uses bilateral stimulation, movement from left to right and back, to replicate REM sleep which is when our bodies process information from the day into memories. When information or events get “stuck”, EMDR can help continue the natural processing that your brain wants to complete.

EMDR can help process recent, one-time events or prolonged exposure to situations in your life with the potential to relieve the symptoms you are experiencing now for good.

EMDR therapy gets to the root of the problem, by processing memories and core beliefs, and by desensitizing triggers so that future events do not cause the same response in your mind and body.

Benefits of EMDR Therapy

Clients describe feeling like the overwhelm and pain has disappeared.

You will be able to recall and talk about the events without your heart racing or feeling like you have to crawl into a hole.

Core beliefs of not feeling good enough are shaped into self-beliefs of power and control of what happens in life, and that you are deserving.

You will discover who you are and what you want to do now.

You will engage in relationships with full confidence and healthy boundaries.

You will stop feeling held back by your past experiences.
