My path toward becoming a counselor has been shaped by both my personal experiences and my deep passion for understanding people’s stories. Through seasons of growth, challenge, and self-discovery, I’ve come to believe that healing happens when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. I know how meaningful it can be to have a safe space to process life honestly, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside others in that process.
I strive to create a counseling environment that feels warm, grounded, and compassionate, where clients can explore their emotions, experiences, relationships, and identity without fear of judgment. My hope is to help people grow in self-awareness, develop healthier patterns, and move toward healing and wholeness in every area of life.
Outside of counseling, I love spending time with my nieces and nephew, hiking in Colorado, going to concerts, and cheering on Nebraska Cornhuskers football on game days. I’m also an avid reader and can usually be found with a memoir or a Victorian novel nearby. I deeply enjoy meaningful conversations, a good latte, and the kinds of moments that help people feel connected and grounded.
I have always been drawn to people’s stories, the experiences, relationships, struggles, and hopes that shape who they are. Counseling gives me the opportunity to create a space where clients can process those stories honestly while discovering new ways to heal, grow, and move forward.
I believe each person carries inherent worth, resilience, and the capacity for change, even in seasons that feel overwhelming or uncertain. My role is not to “fix” people, but to come alongside them with empathy, curiosity, and support as they navigate life’s challenges. Together, we can explore patterns, build coping skills, deepen emotional awareness, and work toward meaningful growth and healing.
In our work together, you can expect a welcoming and collaborative environment where authenticity is encouraged. Therapy can hold both deep emotions and moments of lightness, and I believe both are important parts of the healing process.
I take a person-centered, narrative, and emotion-focused approach to therapy. I emphasize empowerment, healthy boundaries, and self-care, helping you learn how to love yourself while showing kindness to others. I also believe that the trust and safety we build in our sessions can serve as a model for healthy relationships in your life outside of therapy.
First, we’ll have a consultation call to assess whether we’re a suitable match for working together. I’ll ask about the reasons you’re reaching out at this time, your current challenges, and your objectives for therapy.
During the intake session, you’ll discuss your desired goals and outcomes for therapy. I regard the therapeutic relationship as a sacred space, and I aim to create an environment where clients can freely express themselves in each session.
Therapy must encompass seriousness while also allowing for moments of laughter. It’s a journey filled with ups and downs, and every individual deserves guided support for a fulfilling experience. Each person has a unique story worth sharing and the potential to be rewritten. Sessions are client-focused, and I strive to be flexible and creative in tailoring the experience to your needs and desires. The goal is to collaborate strategically to help you grow and thrive in your life.
And I’d love to be part of yours! Take the first step and reach out today.
